Community and Economic Development
Community Development Mission Statement: To focus all efforts on improving the overall quality of life in the City of Marion by working in partnership with internal departments, outside groups and individuals, all while marketing these efforts and the City of Marion as a whole.
Economic Development Mission Statement: To provide employment opportunities and services to residents by aiding in business expansion and retention, while growing and recruiting new industries.
The City of Marion partners with local organizations such as the Grant County Economic Growth Council, the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Marion, Inc., neighborhood associations and schools to facilitate community and economic development efforts.
